An adaptation of August Strindberg's Miss Julie.

A three-character, two-part play with a single set.

Synopsis: Julie is a fading southern belle living on a decaying plantation in the Deep South in the 1930's. One hot summer night, Julie becomes obsessed with the family's black chauffeur, Ransom, finding the attraction of forbidden sex fatally intoxicating. Julie and Ransom are, each in their own ways, deeply flawed people trying to escape desperate lives but too weak to make the final break.

Julie was produced by SCENA Theatre at the Warehouse Theatre, Washington, D.C. in April-May, 2002 and featured Christine Rebecca Herzog, David Lamont Wilson and Deidra LaWan Starnes. Directed by Robert McNamara.
